Camp Review: Offense
Sunday night's scrimmage signaled an end to USC's 2006 fall camp.
With only nine practices left until the Trojans depart for Fayetteville (Ark.), it's time to evaluate the key position battles and performances during these past few weeks of August. While the running backs continue to shine by committee, there's no debate over who USC's No. 1 quarterback is.
The passing game got off to a slow start, but as noted in the Trojans' third scrimmage of camp, both John David Booty and Mark Sanchez began to become more consistent with the placement of their passes. After the Trojans third scrimmage, Sanchez acknowledged that the installation of new plays had been completed, which gave the quarterbacks and receivers a chance to review what they had learned, rather than continuing to preview what they were going to learn.
