UA can't hold on
Freshman running back Joe McKnight ran for 75 yards on 13 carries, including a 59-yard run, and a 45-yard punt return to narrowly propel USC past Arizona 20-13.
Wildcat quarterback Willie Tuitama threw for 233 yards on an efficient 30 of 43 attempts in the loss.
USC was the first to light up the scoreboard as Chauncey Washington punched the ball into the end zone from 18 yards out to put the Trojans up 7-0 with 3:41 left in the first quarter.
A fumbled exchange between Tuitama and Nicolas Grigsby on Arizona's first possession of the second quarter eventually set up a 27-yard field goal by David Buehler with 8:46 left in the half.
Then, at the 5:31 mark, Tuitama used a great second effort to get in for a one-yard touchdown to bring the Wildcats within three points.
