April 29, 2012

The 2012 NFL Draft concluded on Saturday afternoon in what ended up being the greatest year ever for former junior college players since JCGridiron.com started recording the data in 2006. Former Mt. San Antonio star Bruce Irvin was the first to come off the board in the opening round as 22 different JUCO programs were represented over the three-day event.

The 24 players eclipses the 22 players selected in 2008, which was a previous high since we started recording the data in 2006. The 24 players selected represents roughly 10% of the total players drafted in the 2012 NFL Draft.
