Congratulations are in order for Saddleback College being the first known community college to jump into recent technology and create a sports network, broadcasting its games live via streaming video. The Gaucho Sports Network was unveiled weeks ago and will have the prime time spotlight this week when No. 7 Saddleback hosts No. 21 Palomar on GSN at 6:00 PM on the West Coast.

The new network will be a pay-per-view option and will charge various prices depending on the event. This week's game between Saddleback and Palomar is minimal $10 charge, a small price to pay to see two nationally ranked teams battle head-to-head.

"This is a great opportunity to bring Saddleback football global and show the fans what they have been missing all these years," Assistant Athletic Director Jerry Hannula said. "We play in one of the toughest conferences in the country and it gives fans and scouts a chance to see our product while they are on the road or for one reason or another can't make it to the game."

The game this week also features a number of big name players, many of which have received offers from various programs around the country. USC commit and Palomar offensive tackle Brice Schwab is the headliner of the group for now, but wide receiver Martavious Lee was rumored to have given LSU a verbal commitment before the season began. The Comets have a number of other players drawing attention from scouts including corner Anthony Young, guard Sam Tupua, tight end Jared Bamber and wide receivers Paul Moore and Saalim Hakim.

Saddleback has a number of players that will likely be heading to DI programs as well led by safety Dominique Vinson, who bounced back to Saddleback from Boise State. Dominic Glover is a bounceback defensive end from the University of Oregon while 6-foot-8 wide receiver T.J. Knowles has been nearly unstoppable in the red zone thus far during the season.
