Campbell done with unofficials
Ibraheim Campbell has seen all he needs to see -- at least for now. The 5-foot-11, 188-pound cornerback from Philadelphia (Pa.) Chestnut Hill Academy is now saying that he is done with unofficial visits, though he isn't ruling out official visits down the road.
There's good news and bad news for Boston College in that announcement. The good news is that BC is one of four schools the Campbell is highly interested in. The bad news? He might not even make it to BC for a visit before he makes a decision.
Campbell recently expressed his desire to make his decision before the end of the summer, or at the very least by the first part of his senior year at Chestnut Hill Academy. That's still the most likely scenario.
Four schools are currently sitting in the best position to land Campbell, and it seems as though they comprise a final list from which he will choose his college destination.
"The three that I visited, Stanford, Vanderbilt and Northwestern, were just the most impressive from what I saw," Campbell said. "Then Boston College is just a school that I feel would be a good fit for me. It's just one of the school's I've liked."
Campbell said he does not have any plans to take a visit to BC in the immediate future, though he isn't ruling it out for down the road if things take longer than expected.
"I think I'll probably visit (BC)," he said. "I'm not exactly sure I will, but I think so. I might end up waiting and taking an official visit. We'll have to wait and see. I'm not taking anymore unofficial visits."
Campbell went on to say he is spending the rest of the summer working out and getting ready for his senior season.
