Bishop Gorman stars highlight Vegas NUC

Faith Lutheran High School in Las Vegas played host to another stop on the National Underclassmen Combine tour. And with Vegas being the host city, it should come as no surprise that several players from local-power Bishop Gorman High School excelled, including Overall MVP DL Alex Turner, who also took home the Strongest Man Award.

Turner (6 feet 1 and 234 pounds) was excellent during both one-on-ones and individual drills, and his 20 reps on 185 pounds won him the Strongest Man Award. While Turner won the Overall MVP, he wasn't the only defensive lineman from Gorman to dominate. He showed good footwork and athletic skills and tested very well during the combine events with a 31-inch vertical, 7'11 ˝" broad, 5.06 40, 4.57 shuttle and 13 reps on 185 pounds. Showing that the sophomore class isn't the only one at Gorman with talent, Jordan Welte took home the Freshman MVP at the event.
