Dirty 30 rankings are crazy close

The 2022 season has just two games remaining as the top four teams will be in action over the next eight days. Hutchinson and Riverside City seem to be the favorites with San Mateo and Iowa Western lurking.

No. 1 Hutchinson and No. 2 Riverside City are separated by a razor thin margin. Both have been flawless in wins and losses. Both play in solid conferences. Both have beaten good teams. Both have great quarterbacks. The comparisons are endless.

Riverside City will travel to No. 3 San Mateo this Saturday for the California (CCCAA) state championship game. An impressive win could have them holding the hardware. Hutchinson plays No. 4 Iowa Western on December 14. A win could have them holding the hardware. Iowa Western would seem the most unlikely of the four to win the title given two losses during the course of the season, but a blowout win against Hutchinson could make a case.

The rest of the country finished play this past weekend as the folks in Northern California finished up bowl games while the NJCAA ranks had their own set of bowl games.

DuPage moved up to No. 25 in the Dirty 30 Rankings after defeating No. 37 North Dakota State College of Science, 14-12, in the NJCAA DIII title game.

Defending national champion San Francisco moved on to the big board at No. 30 after beating No. 42 College of the Sequoias, 36-28.

The 2022 Dirty 30 National Champion will be announced on December 15.

Here is the rest of the JCGridiron Dirty 30 Rankings. Just a reminder, the Dirty 30 Rankings do not include games against club teams, prep schools, non-CCCAA, non-NJCAA or non-HJCAC programs in its rankings/records.
