Top-19 all win in Dirty 30
The 2023 season is winding down, and not one team flinched this past weekend in trying to win the JCGridiron Dirty 30 national title. The top 19 teams in the rankings all won, setting up for a fantastic finish in 2023.
The final weekend of the regular season is going to be something special in California, Kansas and Iowa. The top-ranked teams in Northern California, (2) San Francisco and (8) San Mateo, will face off for the Bay 6 title. No. 3 Mt. San Antonio faces No. 13 Golden West for the National Central title while No. 5 Riverside City and No. 6 Fullerton play for the National Southern title. On top of that, top-ranked Hutchinson will host No. 4 Iowa Western in a sensational crossover battle between the Jayhawk Conference and Iowa Conference champions.
With so much going on, one can’t forget about the start of both the Mississippi playoffs and Southwest Junior College Football Conference playoffs, which have their own intrigue. No. 12 East Mississippi will host No. 11 Gulf Coast in one half of the Mississippi bracket while No. 7 Copiah-Lincoln will host No. 15 Northwest. No. 9 Kilgore earned the top seed for the SWJCFC playoffs and will host No. 40 New Mexico Military while No. 17 Trinity Valley and No. 24 Navarro will battle it out in the other bracket.
Congrats goes out to Rochester in winning the MCAC championship this past weekend with a 24-16 win against North Dakota State College of Science. The Yellow Jackets are now at No. 41 in the rankings with the win and hoping for a bowl bid in the coming weeks.
