The 2023 season has just two games remaining and has multiple teams that could win the JCGridiron Dirty 30 National Title. The 3C2A and NJCAA both have had outstanding finishes to the season on the calendar, making for a tough decision.
The West Coast has been a roller coaster ride throughout, but the final two teams will be the same two teams that played a season ago as Riverside City will host San Mateo looking for revenge. Last season CSM blasted RCC in San Mateo, and now the Tigers get the Bulldogs on their own turf. San Mateo outlasted American River on Saturday to move into the top spot in the rankings, while Riverside City moved up to No. 3 after hammering Ventura College. Both enter the game at 11-1 overall.
The NJCAA received yet another twist when perennial power East Mississippi went to (then) top-ranked Hutchinson and toppled the Blue Dragons to advance to the NJCAA finals. EMCC (10-2) has come storming back from two losses earlier in the season to rise to No. 4 in the rankings. They will face Iowa Western, who cruised past Kilgore College in the other semifinal and now sit at No. 2 in the rankings. This game will also be a rematch of sorts, as EMCC and Iowa Western faced one another in the 2014 NJCAA national title game.
The 3C2A California title game will take place this Saturday while the NJCAA title game is set for December 13 in Arkansas.
The rest of the Dirty 30 Rankings follow. Just a reminder, the Dirty 30 Rankings do not include games against club teams, prep schools, non-CCCAA, non-NJCAA or non-HJCAC programs in its rankings.
