The season has officially reached the second half and close to 15 programs remain in the hunt for the 18th annual JCGridiron Dirty 30 Title. One team fell this weekend when the defending NJCAA champions from New Mexico Military had a setback against Tyler.
The names at the top haven’t changed much in recent weeks. Hutchinson and Iowa Western remain 1-2 in the Dirty 30 Rankings while No. 3 Riverside City and No. 4 College of San Mateo lead the West Coast programs. Two teams remain undefeated in the Mississippi ranks in No. 5 Northwest and No. 6 Jones.
Even know we just passed the bye week for most of the country, both Hutchinson and Iowa Western will have their byes this week. Hutchinson was an easy winner this weekend when they blasted Dodge City, 47-14. Iowa Western had the top win of the week when they forced six turnovers against Snow in beating the Badgers 26-0.
The West Coast will kick into league play this week. Riverside opens with a trip to No. 25 Palomar while San Mateo hosts No. 31 Laney. Another solid matchup has No. 7 Mt. San Antonio hosting No. 44 El Camino.
The Southwest Junior College Football Conference has a great battle this week when No. 13 Navarro hosts No. 23 Trinity Valley. The SWJCFC is up for grabs this fall with as many as six teams looking like they could make a run and win the title.
Here is the rest of the JCGridiron Dirty 30 Rankings. Just a reminder, the Dirty 30 Rankings do not include games against club teams, prep schools, non-CCCAA, non-NJCAA or non-HJCAC programs in its rankings/records.
