The spring season is nearing the stretch drive and JCGridiron has been watching closely throughout. The Cisco Wranglers have been one of the great stories in JUCO football this season, and moved up higher in the Dirty 30 Rankings this week with another impressive win.
Now at No. 8 in the rankings, it is the highest Cisco has ever been rated in the 16 years of the JCGridiron Dirty 30 Rankings. The Wranglers improved to 5-0 this week with a 41-24 win over Navarro. Travis Dixon was a monster, rushing for 191 yards and two scores while the defense recorded three interceptions. Cisco now plays at No. 6 Kilgore in what should decide the SWJCFC title for the spring.
Hutchinson seems to have gotten past most of the difficult hurdles in the Jayhawk Conference after a 42-24 win against Independence on Sunday. The No. 2 Blue Dragons had a big performance from Cortez Braham on Sunday, as he caught six balls for 141 yards and three scores against the Pirates. Hutch closes out the spring regular season with Highland and Dodge City, neither of which is ranked.
Snow kept rolling again this week after traveling to Ellsworth and beating the Panthers 69-18. The No. 3 Badgers struggled a bit in the opening half before steamrolling past Ellsworth to improve to 5-0. Now they hit the road to Iowa Central for a matchup against the No. 14 Tritons in what is their fourth trip of over 1,000 miles.
Here is the rest of the updated JCGridiron Dirty 30 Rankings. Just a reminder, the Dirty 30 Rankings do not include games against club teams, prep schools, non-CCCAA, non-NJCAA or non-HJCAC programs in its rankings. Most of the teams from California have been removed from the rankings as a result of not playing a fall or spring season.
