Week six of the schedule saw only four games being played, which provided little movement in the JCGridiron.com Dirty 30 Rankings. One team moving upwards out west was the Gila River Hawks, who won its first game in HJCAC play.
Gila River is in just its second year of competition and won the HJCAC title in 2019. The River Hawks defeated the Papago Pumas on Saturday night, 46-21. Gila River moved up five spots to No. 41 in the rankings as a result while Papago dropped a couple of spots to No. 54.
In the Mississippi ranks, only three games were played with only one team on the big board playing. Northwest Mississippi defeated Mississippi Delta, 26-9, on Saturday to improve to 3-0 for the year. The Rangers moved up one spot to No. 8 in the rankings as a result and will play at Holmes on Friday. Coahoma defeated Holmes (26-14) and No. 45 Pearl River took care of business against Southwest (37-26) in the other two matchups.
Some bigger games are schedule this week with No. 11 Hinds set to host No. 45 Pearl River (TH), No. 12 Jones scheduled to host No. 43 Copiah-Lincoln (TH) and No. 23 Northeast traveling to No. 52 Itawamba (TH). No. 2 Gulf Coast is scheduled to travel to Southwest on Friday.
The rest of the JCGridiron.com Dirty 30 Rankings follow. Just a reminder, the Dirty 30 Rankings do not include games against club teams, non-CCCAA, non-NJCAA or non-HJCAC programs in its rankings.
