The race for the Dirty 30 is winding down

The race for the 2015 JCGridiron.com Dirty 30 national title is nearing an end and a handful of programs still have a chance. City College of San Francisco remains in the driver's seat but will need two more wins to hold the title.
CCSF improved to 10-1 with a 30-13 win over Butte College on Saturday, and will face #18 Chabot in the Northern California finals this weekend. A win there would give them a spot in the California title game which takes place on December 12. Chabot moved up three spots after a historic shootout win over San Mateo, 76-55. The Gladiators have averaged 58.8 points-per-game over the past nine games and should present a great test for the Rams.

Should San Francisco prevail, a date with either #7 Long Beach City or #5 Saddleback awaits in the state title game. Saddleback is riding a nine-game winning streak after disposing of #16 Riverside in the Southern California semifinals, 37-20. The Gauchos stifled a Tiger team that was ranked #2 at one point by building a 27-0 halftime lead. Long Beach City was #1 in the rankings at one point this season before a loss to Riverside in week eight. The Vikings overcame a 13-point deficit to #22 Cerritos on Saturday, beating the Falcons in the final minute of the game. For those looking, the Saddleback/Long Beach City game can be seen live via streaming video on the Gaucho Sports Network.
The NJCAA bowls are set and went as expected. #4 Northwest will host #19 Rochester for the NJCAA title game, but it wasn't the optimum opponent for the Dirty 30 title. With only one game remaining against an opponent outside the top-15 in the nation, it isn't the resume builder they were needing to win a title.
#6 Snow and #8 Dodge City were the biggest winners. They will face off in the Salt City Bowl with a big opportunity to move upwards. The Badgers' biggest pitfall was a loss to unranked Eastern Arizona, or they likely would have faced Northwest for the NJCAA title. Dodge City suffered an early loss to #2 Iowa Western and a mid-season loss to #17 Butler.
Iowa Western remains at #2 but was only able to pull a bowl invite to play #27 Georgia Military. The Reivers lost consecutive games to #26 Coffeyville and #17 Butler to start the season, but have since won nine straight games, including wins over #39 Highland, #8 Dodge City, #30 Ellsworth and #12 DuPage. The difference between Iowa Western and some of the programs behind them is minimal, making performance in bowl games critical.
In one of the strangest years in junior college football history, anything could happen.
