The 2024 season has officially begun for both the NJCAA and 3C2A ranks, and the early returns have been very exciting. The race for the Dirty 30 title seems very competitive, with no team showing early signs of running and hiding from the pack.
Hutchinson started as the top team and remains in the top spot after going 2-0 in the opening weeks. The Blue Dragons survived a scare from Iowa Western this past weekend when they stopped the Reivers on a two-point conversion in the final seconds to preserve the win.
Gulf Coast pulled off the early stunner in week one when they shocked East Mississippi, 34-28, in taking an early advantage in the Mississippi ranks. The Bulldogs started at No. 14 in the preseason rankings and moved all the way up to No. 2 with the 2-0 start.
The California ranks opened this past weekend and looks like a wide-open race for the 2024 season. Mt. San Antonio gets the early nod and comes in at No. 3 in the Dirty 30 Rankings after a 38-21 victory over Mt. San Jacinto College. Riverside City sits right behind them at No. 4 after a comfortable 44-21 win against Long Beach City College. American River College starts the season on top of the Northern California ranks after a 35-18 victory over College of the Sequoias. The Beavers start the season at No. 5 in the Dirty 30 Rankings.
The rest of the Dirty 30 Rankings follow. Just a reminder, the Dirty 30 Rankings do not include games against club teams, prep schools, non-CCCAA, non-NJCAA or non-HJCAC programs in its rankings.
